After traumatic experiences she has had to battle with bipolar mental disorder. Giselle tells her story in flawless prose and with compelling honesty. This is the story of a strong woman adding to the growing literature on women’s lives. The story takes you in from the first page and never lets you go.

Apparently, Giselle Robin wrote this book from the first-person point of view, and it couldn’t get any better!
While reading, it feels so personal and the author excites me by inviting me to drench myself in her world. She was so accommodating telling a brave story; a magnificent survival of life. As she matures and develops in every chapter, so do I.

Shadows Over the Sun is an honest autobiography of Giselle Robin. It’s a book that tells the wonderful journey of a strong and courageous woman.
Shadows Over the Sun shows the “dark side” behind the brightest days, like a shadow, formed when the light illuminates. It shows the times of the actual battle during World War II and Robin’s personal battles within herself. Despite that, this book gives its readers inspiration and shows their resilience of Robin – how she strived to get back up and found spiritual healing after going through episodes of mental difficulties.
This autobiography clearly shows how strong of a woman Giselle Robin is and her story would definitely spark inspiration to anyone reading it for it portrays the strength and spirit of a woman.
Robin’s story will surely encourage you to flip the pages until you know how she was able to turn her shadows into the light.

Shadows Over the Sun by Giselle Robin is about a journey of a woman starting the timeline from the years of World War II, going to her marriage, emigration, business, mental challenge, and successes.
The book is an autobiography that bravely narrated the experiences of a child during World War II under the Nazis. It gives us the opportunity to understand how young Giselle perceived her world which was full of chaos and injustice, and to realize how the war shaped her thinking and motivations in life.
Focusing on the content of the chapters, we will see a shift of a young Giselle to an adult one, embarking on a whole new world of adulthood.
The author unselfishly shares her story to relive and relearn the past and its lesson and inspire its readers through her journey of wounds and healing.
